I have BB, phone, TV and calls with TalkTalk (ex-Tiscali customer). Everything was fine until TalkTalk took over. I had problems with the TV, and it took 6 months to resolve. Still no reason was given, had 3 set-top boxes, new wiring, 2 modems, and still it didn't work. Possibly a software problem apparently. However, everytime I complained, it was given another job number, new instructions and was a nightmare. No wonder they have dropped TV from their sales now. BB is very slow, only 3.7 mb's, but I will stick with them until something goes wrong again. Then, it hurts but I'll have to go with Virgin, the worst sales company in the world! But it's a good BB / TV service.
Untrustworth.
Unrealiable.
Un-informed.
Usless.
I am sure that if I tried I could come up with a few more words starting with U but I can't be bothered, same as Talk Talk can not be bothered with their customers.
This is by far the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
They came to my door offering me all sorts of great deals that would knock spots off my then current provider (BT).
Signed up, all is great but it will take 3 weeks to make the change over happen properly.
OK, I can live with that as long as the phone works sharpish.
3 weeks go by and the phone works, but caller ID, Voice Mail and Call Waiting doesn't.
I call them to find out what is going on...
TT: Oh! It will take a week to activate those features and will cost you this much.
Me: What!!! The guy said these features where included when we signed up. The price should be less than BT not more, thats why we transfered!
TT: Well they are not and if you want them it will take a week to properly activated and you will have to pay.
Me: My broadband is still not up, any news when it will be activated?
TT: Sorry, we are still waiting for your MAC code!
Me: I sent it to you 3 weeks ago, this person confirmed it was recieved.
TT: Let me just check that for you... Click... Dead Line Tone!!!!!
15 Mins of your in a cue music later...
Me: Can I speak to the person who was dealing with me a few minites ago?
TT: Sorry but we have no record of your call.
Me: I would like to cancel my contract today as in right now!!!
10 Mins Later.
Me: Please BT, I am sorry. Please reconnect me, I won't do it again.
BT: No problem sir, Here have a cuddle :-)
Actually joking aside, I didn't end up going back to BT as I got a call almost instantly from Sky and they offered me a great deal on top of my TV package.
Seriously, Stay away from Talk Talk!!!

Cant talk with talk talk, one half of the customer service has no idea what the other is doing. Reflective of foreign call centres
thay do any thing to get more cash of you i went a way for 3 week come back i had a phone bill for £200 and there was noone at home and noone had a key
Very pleased with service and monthly payments rarely exceed £17.00 including line rental, Broadband and all telephone calls
I have been with Talktalk for some years, & have free broadband with hem. It is not as fast as with some providers, but is sufficient for my needs, & I find the customer service good.
Like many others I always get annoyed when companies offer deals for new customers that are not available to existing customers. But TalkTalk have recently allowed me to benefit from their concessionary broadband rate ahead of my scheduled contract period and sent me a new router because my current one seems to play up occasionally.
Was previously a Tiscali customer, not the greatest ISP in the world but a high uptime and decent connection, until TalkTalk took them over, then the phone line and internet connection started disappearing for days at a time, email never worked and I was just fobbed off with excuses. Shut down the account, the guy I spoke to sounded bored and pretty much admitted that he was dealing with hundreds of the same type of calls a day.
Excellent price including all calls, line rental and broadband. However, spped of broadband getting slower. I have to find time to ring them and ask for a free upgrade at regular intervals. Why don't they just give theircustomers this and keep them happy?
used them stuck with them for a year dont bother rubbish service
Since having this telephone system, I have been badgered into taking a later version, and did not want. Having spoken to numerous alien nationals, based in South Africa and India, I have been unable to resolve this issue. I will be changing sevice provider at the earliest possible date, following renewall of system. Again the previous system was much better and cheaper.Trying to communicate with a person with common sense is utterly impossible. Talk Talk, take note???????????????????????????????????????????????????????/////
cant wait for my contract to end.nothing but problems worst customer service ever.have had poor connection problems for 6 months finally they sent an engineer not qualified to fix fibreoptic
another waisted day.you could not make it up.
i still have no broadband after four days and they still.cant tell how much longer its going to take ive spent hours on the phone being given the run around its been hell...
WOULDN'T recommend. All customer service enquiries go to India. Useless internet speeds. Stick to BT, they are the best from consistency.
I dont know what all the fuss is about with this company I have been with them for about 3 years and had no trouble with them apart from a few hicups when I have moved house on two occasions
I hear so much negativity about TalkTalk but, just today, my broadband speed his increase by 50% (and they never told me). For less than £5 a month, I now have a faster connection than all my neighbours (some are on Sky, some with BT) - we have no cable and the exchange is miles away.
I have had a faultless relationship with TalkTalk since the took me over from Onetel
Originally started ok until problems with the phone line started. My mum was complaining of a crackling noise on the lines and sometimes couldn't hear anything on the phone at all. Calls to customer service did nothing to fix this. The internet began to become so slow (almost as slow as Sky, ALMOST) and would cut off multiple times a day, which was the real problem. We would have to go upstairs to the router to 'turn it off and on again'. Many more calls later they finally sent us a new router, which did nothing to solve either the rubbish phone line or the unacceptable internet connection. Enough was enough, and we phoned them to cancel the contract. We were then sent a £200 cancellation fee?! Politely told them to do one, heard nothing since. I fully recommend BT they provide a brilliant service, no problems whatsoever!
Bite the bullet and use BT, their customer service is appalling spent what seemed like hours on the phone, waited for 7 weeks for Broadband installation and had problems throughout.
I had been with Talktalk for a a few years, but found having to speak to their call centres a nightmare! The customer care service has improved but you are put from one person to another and none seem to note up correctly! I have moved as I thought as a loyal customer I could have be treat better than I was! Plus download capping was a big issue, and I was getting charged much more! Come on guys take a look what other companies are doing, if you want loyal customers to stay loyal!

We have been with TALKTALK for many years, I have found that they have improved their service the only thing I have a grumble with is I wish they would post their Contact telephone number on the Home Page...
Totally let down by their customer service, !!!!
slow conection expensive calls
terible customer service
Don't get involved with shite customer service you will get told a pack of lies
Very pleased with the phone, broadband and mobile service.
crap service, rubbish internet, waste of money.....
Had Talk Taly Broadband and Phone for some years. It started very well but went down hill over past two years. Loss of Broadband almost weekly, having to re boot time after time. TT Supplied Router failed, engineer came and fitted replacement. Their equipment failed but I was charged. Also tried T T Mobile. (One month contract!) Did not use it much, cancelled 1st Sept. Still payng until Feb. Been trying to get my money back since Jan. Still waiting. Also got fed up with constant very pushy phone calls asking to take new or expanded service.
Best price is not everything!
I have talktalk broadband, home phone and mobile package. The service is okay but the level of customer service is poor. The help section of the website spins you around and never seems to answer the question.
If talktalk could sort the customer help area they would be hard to beat but, as things stand, I will be tempted to move to another provider when my current contract expires.
great value. Just installed business at my tennis club. Very good
They sent equipment to wrong address took 5 weeks to sort out in which time I had no Internet and no phone!!! Never had an appology
We were messed about with the phone line into a new build property - told complete porkies that Talk Talk would own the line (BT did) and then problems with the router, complicated overseas customer service.
Back with BT now, much better hub and service.
I AM NOT IMPRESSED WITH TALK TALK THEY CHARGED ME FOR MOVING HOUSE EVEN TOUGH I HAD BEEN WITH THEM FOR 6 YEARS.
WE HAVE BEEN CUSTOMERS OF TALKTALK FOR MANY YEARS NOW&WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEM AT ALL WITH THEM INDEED THEY WOULD GO OUT OF THERE WAY TO HELP,BUT OWING TO US NOW BEING RETIRED ETC ,TO CUT COSTS,WE MOVED OVER TO VIRGIN,FOR THE WHOLE WORKS ,T/V,PHONE ,BROADBAND SO ELIMINATIG COSTS OF SKY,TALK.&THE VARIOUS INSURANCES WITH BOTH MENTIONED COMPANIES,BUT FOR ANYONE WHO JUST WANTS CHEAP,BUT VERY RELIABLE PROVIDER,FOR PHONE&BROADBAND YOU WOULD FIND IT HARD TO BEAT TALKTALK!
My advice would be to avoid TT like the plague. They know how poor their customer relationships and support are; evrybody including the regulator has told them so, but do they change, do they improve. No they just plough on with their short term, line their pockets at their customers expense approach. The worst example of a British company you could hope to find.
No telephone connection for five days, TalkTalk server always dropping my connection.
The internet connection is SLOW and the customer service is CRAP. the phone line has not been recieving calls and guess what the customer service will make you cry in frustration.DO NOT WASTE TIME WITH THESE THEIVES AND DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR FALSE PROMISES.
I have been a customer of TalkTalk for a fair few years now and despite a lot of 'bad press' about them lately, I have never had a problem. All my queries have been sorted in quick time. And the service has been excellent. Their online account is very easy to understand and all my questions can be resolved looking at my account.
Apauling door step selling and crap support. I am fed up with Talk Talk reps visiting my house with wonderful low cost broadband offers. I have even ended up shouting at one guy who didn't understand the term "No thank you".
Some years ago my father took up a Talk Talk offer. Both myself (former ITC eng) and a BT eng found there was no ADSL signal at his house yet I spent hours on the phone to an overseas tech support trying to get them to understand. My father continued paying for a service he could not use until his death.
