I have bought two or three bits of kit from eBuyer over the past months and have never had any problem with delivery. I recently bought a Hisense Sero 7 tablet which was delivered on 05 November. A great machine for the price but it unfortunately died just over three weeks later. I contacted eBuyer and it all seemed very efficient with the return being approved and a return number (1251560) being generated which allowed me to go online to print my return address label and pick the date that it would be collected from my door by Yodel. That was arranged for 02 December between 0900 and 2000. One of us stayed in all day, but no sign of Yodel. I phoned eBuyer the next day, received an apology, and was told it would now be collected the following day, 05 December. Again, one of us waited in all day but again, no sign of Yodel. When I phoned on 06 Dec, Yodel apparently said they tried to collect it at 3pm the day before. Oh, no they didn't.... pantomime season? So the third uplift was arranged by eBuyer for today Monday 09 Dec. This time it actually happened at 1520, and I now have a piece of paper which confirms this. The Yodel driver incidentally insisted that the job had only landed with him for the first time this morning, which I tended to believe - he was utterly adamant.
Then amazingly someone speaking very broken English with a Japanese sounding accent rang this evening at 1950 and I eventually picked up that he was from Yodel and telling me that he was about to arrive to make a collection from me. After three attempts I managed to get through to him that my collection had already been made earlier today. Would you believe he actually said, "Haa - So", before he hung up. Class act - definitely pantomime season.
Hence I am not holding my breath for the early return of my (much loved already though) first tablet and as I say, the jury is still out on Messrs eBuyer.

Every order I now make comes 1 or 2 days late even if I pay extra postage.
The support line is a premium number and very often costs £1 before they have even answered the call and then they blame there courier and take no responsibility themselves.
This has happened on nearly every order I have made this year so is not an isolated case .
All my post and orders from other company's are arriving on time so is not a location problem.
I have been using ebuyer since 2004 and this poor service has only appeared in the past 2 years.
I used E-buyer for my first time purchase of Optimus V X17 Gaming Laptop, the order was straight forward and arrived on time. However the description stated operating System: Windows® 8 64bit (Pre-installed & Disc Included), after unpacking the laptop I noticed there was no disc, I contacted E-buyer who advised they no longer come with a operating disc, the lady on the telephone advised I can make my own disc and have to do this myself by doing it in 'My computer' how unhelpful!, I explained that it was advertised with a disc and this was why brought the £899 laptop, the lady explained that the advertisement will be changed. I also enquired about the three year guarantee as there was no paper work, I was assured that this would be emailed to me straight way... ... surprise surprise no email and advertisement is still stating - Operating System: Windows® 8 64bit (Pre-installed & Disc Included)... over all impression of E-buyer not good
Ordered late at night multiple times with next day delivery, items turned up first thing in the morning! Never had an issue with Ebuyer, used them in excess of 10 times. Always great service.
I returned a faulty item, it was confirmed as faulty by ebuyer a couple of weeks ago and they said refund would be processed. This was not received, so called them and they said they would refund to my account as it was 'stuck in the system' or something, I asked if they could just directly send the money to my PayPal but they couldn't for some reason. So I agreed to have my ebuyer account credited.
After a few calls this was sorted, I was upset at the time but it has been sorted now. Refund was received.
I spoke to them today regarding a different matter and they were very good. So my opinion has improved significantly.
I've recently ordered a few PC components. Unfortunately, the delivery is only free if you wish to wait 5 days, but the package was indeed delivered on the 5th afternoon. I missed the courier, but she was willing to come back the same day, so I received the package as planned. I was very pleased with the inside of the package - bubble foil surpassed the items' volume by far, so there was no risk of any damage. Indeed, all the internal packaging were intact, as were the products. Positive impression so far, let's see what comes next!
I bought a £650 laptop last Friday, paying just under £12 for Saturday delivery (this is despite ‘Free Delivery’ being plastered everywhere. It’s actually only free if you wait 3-5 working days). Much to my delight it arrived at 12:05 the following day. My happiness was short lived through – within 10 minutes it was clear my laptop was broken, it simply wouldn’t start up, despite receiving power. I called Customer Services immediately, but it was closed, they don’t do weekends. After a few moments of panic and faffing around for a while, I managed to submit a returns request online but it seems that due to its cost it had to be approved. This required me to wait until Monday & call their Returns team to describe the problem. I was then instructed to contact Asus Support to get a Manufacturer Fault Number & email it to Ebuyer. By the end of the day, I had confirmation that a Courier would collect it. The site wouldn’t recognise my Work address, so I had to take a day off work to sort that out. It was returned to Ebuyer before 10am the following day (we’re up to Wednesday now). The next step is to confirm the fault and advise. It’s now Friday @ 10am and I’m still waiting for them to confirm it won’t turn on. I don’t work in a returns department, but surely you’d think they might be able to prioritise things with a focus on the more expensive stuff?!
I called again this morning and they are sticking to the 3-5 working day turn around on Returns, so it’s highly unlikely that I’ll get it for the weekend. No big deal you might think. Well not in the grand scheme of things, but when (if?) a replacement is finally delivered, I’ll be at work. That means I’ll have to wait another day, then play chase the Courier. Each passing day is a kick in the teeth. I’m heading towards the end of the month, £661 down and no laptop.
Pros // Ebuyer have a defined returns process
Negs // It’s not a very good process from a Customer standpoint. Each interaction has its own lead times for response and it seems painfully slow.
Will it stop me from using Ebuyer again? Probably not, for cheaper stuff at least – but highly unlikely for anything of value. Amazon have a far better process & seem to react much quicker…
Update: 6th Dec:
Just an update on this review. Ebuyers have now decided to give me a full refund and this has now been received.
I bought an Acer Aspire V5-571 Laptop from Ebuyer in May 2013 for my Dad who is new to computers. My dad reported an issues with the typing curser moving out of place when typing, which would cause him to type over previous sentences. This happens occupationally and was intermittent but enough to cause him a lot of frustration.
I tested the laptop out myself, typing on word and on email and I experienced the same problem.
I reported this to Ebuyer who advised that I need to send this back to ACER as they held the manufacturing warranty. Four times I sent this back to ACER for a repair and each time they said they could not replicate the issue. They said they updated the touch pad software and even replaced the touch pad. But each time I still found the fault.
They even asked for evidence of the fault.
When I sent it for repairs for the 4th time I sent them a recording of the issue so they could understand exactly what the issue was. But they still sent it back stating that it had been repaired.
I went back to Ebuyer who had a look. To my shock they said there was no fault with the laptop and that this is the design of this laptop because it has a big touch pad and users may experience this and that I should turn off the touch pad when typing and turn it back on when needing to use the mouse!
What a ludicrous response and work around. Not even ACER themselves suggested this.
And how is my dad, who is a novice user, meant to be able work with this inconvenient workaround.
We bought a laptop to work like a laptop with all its features.
If the laptop is designed like that and that users may experience this problem then shouldn’t there be some sort of warning sign clearly marked on the product and if there was I guarantee no one would even purchase it as it’s not designed to work like a laptop.
I would expect Ebuyer to take ACER account of supplying such products and offer a refund to customers experiencing problems with such products. But there was no empathy from Ebuyer.
They suggested that my wrist was moving the curser when typing. Well there is a difference between the mouse curser and the typing curser.
They had sent the laptop back before I could even speak to them when I specifically asked them to call me before they made any decision.
Another point. When the laptop was arranged to be sent to Ebuyer for its 5th check no courier turned up even though the pickup was confirmed. So a whole day (9am-9pm) was wasted waiting at home for a courier to pick this up. I raised an e-note on the Ebuyer site to investigate this and have had no follow up.
I have wasted about 5 weeks returning this laptop back.
I have lost faith in online retailers. I don’t think Argos or Curry’s would ever put me in this situation.
I have used Ebuyer several times. bought corsair platinum memory for £190 from these guys just about a year ago. memory became faulty. Ebuyers said it would be replaced. Ebyer received the item and confirmed it was faulty. Ebuyer then sent an email saying they would no longer replace the item (even though they had it in stock and Corsair provide limited lifetime warranty), instead they sent an email offering partial refund. Before I even got a chance to contact them to discuss the partial refund, they already being issued the refund via paypal for £160. It was so quick, no chance for me to call and discuss or even any alternatives. So they ended up charging me £30 off the price plus I had to pay for shipping the return. Their excuse was wear and tear and some other lame excuse. I will never buy from them again.
I have used Ebuyer a few times and initially thought they were quite good.I bought a tablet from them but after 9 months it developed a fault. This was still under warranty but the makers of the tablet said i had to return to seller as they did not process their own warranties. I returned it to ebuyer and the service for the return was initially quite good.Once they decided they could not fix it or replace it they initally did not give a full refund only gave me 85% of purchase price due to wear and tear.I was not happy with this and the initial response i received from ebuyer. After putting up a bad review on this site i received a response from a lady called lucy who has completely restored my faith with the company.Hence the service for returns and the good they offer i would recommend to anyone.
Recently i made two orders on this site for components i wanted quickly because my PC was playing up.
I asked for next day on both orders and neither of them arrived on the day i asked for, but the day after.
A good retailer i have used in the past but I would not bother with paying extra for a faster delivery.
Simon James Cull considera esta opinion muy útil
Used eBuyer for a few years, getting equipment and items for clients through a small IT business. Used to use Dabs but delivery times became unreliable (their courier changed) and prices weren't the best anymore. Might have been when they were taken over by BT?
eBuyer always seem to have good prices and if not the absolute cheapest, when combined with delivery costs and times they come out on top. I can get pretty much everything I need IT-wise from them as well, rarely get stuff elsewhere (some specifics like phone sockets and equipment).
Delivery and cut-off times are excellent - reliable delivery and quick processing by eBuyer themselves. Invaluable for ordering stuff for clients.
Not sure eBuyer should try to sell everything, inc. TVs and home media stuff, as diversifying can lead to problems - focus on the IT side which they've done well for years!
Can get some stuff like PCs and laptops elsewhere for less and with a few more options, but those retailers aren't as good on the returns side if you have a problem. When I've had a problem with an eBuyer order, or had to return something they've been pretty good.
Great selection of products, fast delivery and great service. I often use Ebuyer to buy products for incentive packages and they go down really well. Very happy, thank you.
I just bought something from eBuyer for the first time. Highly recommended by my work colleagues. I found browsing the stock well laid out and informative, especially with reviews. However, my experience of the payment process was a bad one. I needed to create an account but that wasn't intuitive in the way Sign Up and the use of radio buttons was laid out - and anyway why can't I buy as a one off guest? The next screen stated at top Your Delivery Address in bold but beneath it it wanted the billing address in another title. After filling in Billing there was a green button that looked like it was finally giving me the opportunity to add a different delivery address but no, it went straight to payment checkout. With no way to go back and change anything and no preview screen enabling changes before committing. I used Google Chrome on XP Service Pack 3.
ive used ebuyer a for lots of stuff and they have always been super fast and reliable and the cheapest around cant beat them really i order all my electrionics form here now save hassle of having to search all over for things when you can get all the good stuff on one website
I have been using Ebuyer for quite some time. I recommend it to every one and I have actually liked using the company.
I use it for my place of work and I use it for my self.
If I was to advise anyone about this place it would be, no problem with them great products and services.
I bought all the components to build a PC and they all came at the same time in great packaging. I had an issue with an incompatible component that I bought and they happily refunded me. I will definitely buy from here in the future.
I have been shopping with Ebuyer for over ten years and I have found it the best online retailer of computers, components and electronics. They're always reliable and it's great to see they're improving the features of the online shop all the time. Thank you Ebuyer.
E buyer is brilliant!! been with them well over ten years, very reliable. They are always there for me when i needed help, staff are friendly over the phone.quality assurance
Just bought a 1TB Seagate portable hard drive from Ebuyer (UK). Easy to see what you want, easy to buy — and at a bargain price — and even with free delivery! Had already signed up for the regular email listing bargains. Worth doing the same,so that you won't miss out. Great deal!
When buying computer equipment Ebuyer is the first place I look. I do shop aound but on most occasins I still purchase from Ebuyer becausse the cost is very reasonable and very good delivery service. I would recommend and do to others to use Ebuyer.
Every time I have used Ebuyer, they have always been perfect. From deliveries being early, even when using Super Saver delivery, through good pricing, and even a no-fuss RMA return, spot on, each and every time.
I used eBuyer for the first time last month when the new Microsoft Sculpt keyboard was released, I was most impressed by the great price they were offering however this did come at a price in the long run!!
The keyboard had a fault with the magnetic clip underneath it falling off. I raised an RMA and returned the item after spending ages on hold waiting for someone to answer just to say the RMA was authorised, why this wasn't automated I will never know!!
I soon received an email from the technicians stating that there was not a fault with the keyboard, I insisted there was and that the technician obviously didnt test what I had reported. They then said they would check it again and I got the same reply.
I asked them to return the keyboard and then proved the issue with a video of a faulty keyboard next to one that didnt have the issue. To which they admitted fault and spoke the the technician involved.
They then collected the keyboard and said they would replace it, much to my disappointment when they actually refunded my account and then said I would need to place the order again.
When I went back to place the order again the keyboard had gone up in price and even though I had purchased the keyboard before the price hike they didn't honour this even though it was their fault it took so long to resolve!!
This is truly the worst customer service I have received from a company and the way they dealt with a new customer who would potentially have purchased much more from them.
They have lost a customer who will now not return!!!
UPDATE: All just to make you aware that since the reply from Lucy I have received a replacement keyboard without a fault and am happy with the service from Lucy, That said it shouldnt have taken me to the point of posting on trust pilot to get a satisfactory response.
I am now happy that this is resolved.
Everything I've needed in my IT role has been found on eBuyer, Brilliant, useful hardware and good fast delivery. eBuyer is the first place I think to look online when I'm looking for hard drive duplicators, USB pens, drive enclosures and cables.
I've been building my own PC's for over 10 years & have bought everything through Ebuyer, I've always had excellent service, deliveries always on time & occasionally even early, everything is always boxed well & never damaged.
The Prices are always competitive. When you call Ebuyer, you always speak to someone at Ebuyer,
I look forward to being an Ebuyer customer for many years to come. if someone buys anything pc related, I point them to Ebuyer first.
Ebuyer consistently delivers value for money when compared with other on line retailers. I have bought many electrical/electronic items from them over many years and they have always delivered excellent value, coupled with good service.
Some retailers hike up the overall cost of the product by demanding unreasonable delivery charges, however, Ebuyer provide more delivery choices than most and offer free delivery on many products.
I keep coming back to Ebuyer time and time again because I have total confidence in them.
I have ordered many items from you over the past few years and have been satisfied with the products. However, recently, over the past year or so, I get the distinct impression that your delivery policies are not accurate. Although my orders have been placed using a computer you seem to operate manually and times are calculated from when a human intervenes in the process and not from when the process was initiated by the customer. E.g order Friday night, five days counting starts Monday. Last night another. Order by 31 October for free delivery Friday 1 November, but no there is some alleged technical hitch and the order will arrive on Monday 4 November. Thus my opinion and belief that it'll be some time before I make another order.
When we first discovered Ebuyer we were overwhelmed by the range of branded products available, all of which we priced competitively, and often cheaper than if we were to purchase directly from the manufacturer! Now, with the warranty options and simplicity of making all our purchases from one place using one account - Ebuyer is our first point of call for ANY electronic goods we wish to purchase. Our dealings with their customer service team have always impressed us.
When purchasing electrical goods, Ebuyer is always my first port of call and has been for a number of years. I have placed many order with them and have never been disappointed in the service they have provided. When I have had problems with items I've received (which has only been twice), Ebuyer were very helpful and the problems were easily sorted. I find the site very easy to navigate and use. The only thing I miss is the product comparison feature which I can't seem to find any more. On the whole, I would definitely recommend Ebuyer to others.
